The De'Longhi Print Room (Free Entry)
An exhibition of photographs documenting Britain at
work in the 1950s and 1960s by the esteemed
photographer Maurice Broomfield (b. 1916).
A celebration of the heyday of industry when Britain was the ‘workshop of the world', Broomfield's carefully-crafted images of industries such as nylon, insulation and shipbuilding provide a unique document of ‘pre-Thatcher' Industrial Britain and present a glamorous and humanistic vision of workers and work during this period.
