An exhibition of stained glass inspired work, based on historic landmarks and building of the French city of Chartres, by children from Chichester
Pallant House Gallery and Friends of Chartres are delighted to announce the latest studio exhibition which will mark the end of the second Annual Schools Art Competition. ‘A Tale of Twinned Cities’ will showcase the works entered by Children from Chichester and the twinned French City of Chartres.
Visitors can come and see the work by local school children aged between 7 and 13 who were invited to enter pieces into this exciting competition for which the theme this year is stained glass. Taking inspiration from the beautiful windows at Chartres and Chichester Cathedrals, children have used their creativity and imagination to depict landmarks, icons of culture, environment and architecture of the two cities.
