Gallery Trustees

Voluntary governance role

Application deadline: 9am, Monday 29 September 2025

Pallant House Gallery is inviting applications from prospective new Trustees with skills and experience in the following areas:

  • Fundraising and philanthropy in museums, galleries and the cultural sector, particularly in relation to major donor networks and/or trusts and foundations
  • Capital redevelopment projects, particularly architectural design, project management and construction
  • Digital communications and marketing
  • Current professional experience of the museums, galleries and heritage sector, including knowledge of the public sector priorities and funding

We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds and previous Board experience is not required. The successful candidates will be given an induction into the working of the Gallery. This is a voluntary role but the Gallery will reimburse Trustees for reasonable travel or out-of-pocket expenses, in line with our expenses policy.

Curatorial Assistant

Permanent, full time contract

Pallant House Gallery is seeking a proactive and ambitious Curatorial Assistant who is passionate about making the arts accessible to the widest possible audience.

The Curatorial Assistant will contribute to the care, research and interpretation of Pallant House Gallery’s internationally important collection of Modern British art; provide support for the Gallery’s programme of temporary exhibitions and collections displays; and work in close collaboration with other Gallery departments and a variety of external stakeholders and partners. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to learn more about collections care and exhibition making.
